He was the husband of Mary Lynn (Perney)Ward and the late Joan (Boyle) Ward. Born in Camden, NJ, he was the son of the late Eleanor (Acker) and William (Bill) J. Recently he attended St. Paul Parish, East Norriton.

He was always an avid reader and the keeper of Philadelphia history and the priceless Ward family story. He became an expert skier in his 30’s when he met Joan. He enjoyed art, music and dancing. He met Mary Lynn taking ballroom dancing lessons. He pursued his love of travel, traveling throughout Europe and studied the Italian language until this past fall. He took up drawing and painting at the young age of 85. He was a man who lived his life to the fullest. But most important, he loved ALL chocolate, especially M&Ms, and of course, ice cream.
