William T. Powell William T. Powell, 84, of Emmaus, died October 6, 2009 in ManorCare, Allentown. He was the husband of Dorothy L. (Brey) Powell. They celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary in February 2009. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late John and Verna (Urban) Powell. He worked as a gashouse engineer for the former AT&T for 38 years, retiring in 1987 from Lucent Technologies. He was a member of the IBEW Union and an avid bowler. He honorably served his country in the Army. He was a member of St. Anns Catholic Church, Emmaus. Survivors: Wife; Daughters, Jane L. wife of Charles O'Leary of Kunkletown and Anne M. Powell of Manhattan Beach, CA. Services: Memorial Services Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009 at 11:00 AM in Schantz Funeral Home, Inc., 250 Main St., Emmaus.
