William H. Leibensperger William H. Leibensperger, 84, of Emmaus, died Nov. 4, 2008 in the Lehigh Valley Hospital Muhlenberg. He was the husband of Loretta S. (McElroy) Leibensperger. They celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary in February 2008. Born in Emmaus, he was the son of the late Charles H. and Eva (Mest) Leibensperger. He worked for the Borough of Emmaus as a police officer for over 30 years, retiring in 1996. He was a member of Emmaus Moravian Church, where he served as an elder, a member of the peanut gang, and the 50 plus club. He was a member of the Emmaus Kiwanis Club. He honorably served his country in the Army during WWII, where he was a Purple Heart recipient. Survivors: Wife; Sons, William H. Leibensperger, Jr. of Emmaus and James Leibensperger of Emmaus; Daughter, Peggy wife of George Vargo of Allentown and Mary Lou wife of Richard Quier of Orefield; 5 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren. Services: Funeral Services Friday, Nov. 7, 2008 at 2:00 PM in Emmaus Moravian Church, Main St. and Keystone Ave., Emmaus. Viewing 1:00 to 2:00 PM in the church. Interment with military honors will follow in Emmaus Moravian Cemetery.
