William Sterling Derr, age 98, of Allentown, PA, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2024.  Born on October 9, 1925 in Alburtis, PA, he was the son of John and Minnie Derr.  After graduating from Emmaus High School, he enlisted in the Navy.  Bill then worked at Mack Trucks for 38 years and was married for 68 years to his wife, Faye.  Bill always had a smile on his face and a positive outlook for life. He loved gardening, being outdoors, staying fit, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. His memory will be forever cherished in the lives of his 2 daughters, Toni Derr and Tami Minneci, and his 3 grandchildren, Zachary Minneci, Cassidy Minneci, and Ryan Minneci.  He was predeceased by his wife Faye Derr, his sister Rhea Steedle, and his brother John Derr, Jr.  Funeral arrangements will be held privately by Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus.
