Warren R. Whitney, 75, of Macungie, passed away unexpectedly on March 30, 2022 at Lehigh Valley Hospital.  He was the husband of Phyllis (Jones) Whitney.  Born in Lakewood, OH, he was the son of the late Ralph and LaVerne (Kinzel) Whitney. Warren was a graduate of Bucknell University, earning a degree in economics.  He worked as a financial advisor for Merrill Lynch for 35 years, retiring in 2013.

Warren was very active in the Lower Macungie Garden Club. Throughout his life he had a passion for ice skating and everything trains. He was always in awe of a beautiful sunset. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Allentown.

Warren is survived by his wife of 51 years, Phyllis, of Milton, PA; daughters: Gwen, wife of Graham Youngblood of Chapel Hill, NC; Megan, wife of Brett Cortesi of Johnston, RI; and Meredith, wife of Aiji Graham of Littleton, CO; his sister, Dr. Linda W. Hobson of Raleigh, NC; and his grandchildren Olive, Ivy, Violet, Elliot, Albion, and Ozzy.

A celebration of Warren's life will be held on Sat. June 18, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Lower Macungie Twp. Community Center, 3450 Brookside Rd., Macungie.  A reception and visitation will be held following the ceremony.  Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Warren's name may be made to Health Wagon (Wise, VA) or the American Heart Association.
