Walter R. Ross, 86, of Allentown, died Sept. 2, 2021 in Fellowship Manor.  Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Edwin and Wilma (Decker) Ross.  He honorably served his country in the Army during Korea.  Walter worked as a fireman for the Allentown Fire Department for 36 years, retiring in 1999.  He was a member of the Allentown YMCA for many years.

Walter is survived by his son, Dale A. Ross and wife Sarah of Peabody, MA; daughter, Ellen Ross of Allentown; brother, Richard Ross and wife Susan of Emmaus; grandson, Spencer.  He was predeceased by a brother, Robert Ross and a sister, Eleanor Johnson.

Memorial services with military honors will be held on Sat., Oct. 30, 2021 at 4:00 PM in Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus.  Visitation 3:00 to 4:00 PM in the funeral home.
