Walter R. Lord Walter R. Lord, 89, of Zionsville, died March 20, 2014 in Valley Manor Nursing Home. He was the widow of Susan H. (Hale) Lord. Born in Mount Carmel, he was the son of the late Walter O. and Mary (Schober) Lord. He worked as a tool grinder for the former Bonney Forge and was a clerk for Sears, retiring in 1987. He was a member of Zion's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Old Zionsville. He honorably served his country in the Air Force during WWII and was a member of the train collectors organization. Survivors: Daughters, Linda Lord of Fortine, MT, Susan wife of Mark Benjamin of Old Zionsville, and Joan Cressman of Allentown; Grandchildren, Gabriel, Nathaniel, Alexandria, Shalee, Kaitlyn, and Austin. He was predeceased by a son, Robert W. Lord. Services: Funeral Services Thursday, March 27, 2014 at 2:00 PM in Zion's Evangleical Lutheran Church, 5901 Kings Highway South, Old Zionsville, PA 18068. Viewing Wednesday 7:00 to 8:30 PM in the Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus and Thursday 1:00 to 2:00 PM in the church. Interment with military honors will follow in Zion's Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery.
