Walter "Walt" Robert Conway, 85, of Emmaus, died peacefully early morning, Wednesday December 5th, 2018. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Carol Ann Brahler, to whom he was happily married for 55 years.

Born April 26, 1933 in Scranton, PA, son of the late Joseph and Beatrice Marie Dougher Conway, he was a graduate of St. Paul's High School. He completed two years at the University of Scranton prior to enlisting in the Army.  Following his honorable discharge from the Army, he started working for Bell Telephone and retired from AT&T as an Executive Administrative Sales Manager.

Walt (Poppy) was a dedicated family man who was proud of his family.  He had a wit and penchant to tell jokes and one liners and will be deeply missed by all his friends and family.

Also surviving are: daughter, Catherine "Katie" (Mark S.) Steiner, Emmaus; sons, Timothy E. Conway (Krystina B.), Christopher Conway (Kristen C.), John F. Conway (Dawn H.), Matthew Conway (Jodey C.); grandchildren, Carlie Steiner, Washington, D.C., Peter, Adam and Samuel, Ian and Teagh, Ailish, Adderyn and Aoibhinn, Madeline and William; He was also preceded in death by a sister, Alice Marie; brothers, Joseph Conway; Francis H. Conway and John "Jack" F. Conway

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Ann Catholic Church, 415 S. Sixth St., Emmaus. A visitation will be held from 9-10:30 at Schantz Funeral Home P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus.  Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Emmaus.
