Virginia S. Robertson, 76, of Emmaus, died April 18, 2017 in her residence surrounded by her family. She was the wife of John P. Robertson. Born in Youngstown, OH, she was the daughter of the late K. Calvin and Helen M. (Huffman) Sommer. She attended Mt. Union College. Ginny was an avid bird watcher, nature enthusiast, loved gardening, sewing and needlework of all kinds. She was a member and Past Matron of the Oder of the Eastern Star and a member of the Order of the White Shrine. Ginny was an accomplished musician of voice, piano, organ, handbells, violin, and saxophone. She was a member of Faith Presbyterian Church, Emmaus, serving as past Deacon, member of the handbell choir, and managed the prayer chain. She was a volunteer for Lehigh Valley Hospital for 20 years.

Survivors: Husband of 54 years, John; Son, Jonathan P. Robertson and wife Priscilla of Emmaus; Daughters, Jennifer R. wife of Stephen Wenzel of Blandon, Nancy Beth wife of Benjamin Queen, Jr. of Los Gatos, CA, and Heather wife of Thomas P. Walpole of Oceanside, CA; Grandchildren, Bradley Wenzel, Devin Wenzel, Hadley Queen, and Calvin Robertson; Sisters, Patricia Matter and Ruth Miller. She was predeceased by a Sister, Joan Codding.

Services: Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 10:30 AM in Faith Presbyterian Church, North 2nd and Cherokee Streets, Emmaus. Viewing Friday 7:00 to 8:30 PM in Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus and Saturday 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the church. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Macungie.
