Violet K. Kosc, 79, of Emmaus, died December 27, 2015 in Lehigh Center. Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Edwin and Florence (Bergstresser) Strauss. She graduated from Emmaus High School and was employed at Allen Organ Co., Macke Food Service at Mack Truck Headquarters, Bob Kosc Luncheonette and Bar, Wiley House, and Kids Peace, retiring in 2011. In 1988 she won the Northern Region Culinary Olympics. She also won the 1996 Kids Peace Award for vegetable carving. She was an active member of Jerusalem Western Salisbury Church, serving as a member of the Joint Board, Choir, Care Ministry, Stephen Ministry, Altar Guild, and kitchen committee. She also participated in Katrina Mission Work Camp in 2006, 07, 08.

Survivors: Cousin, John Bergstresser and wife Marlene; predeceased cousin Charles Bergstresser, wife Twilijean.

Services: Funeral Services Monday, Jan. 4, 2016 at 11:00 AM in Jerusalem Western Salisbury Church, 3441 Devonshire Rd., Allentown. Viewing 9:30 to 11:00 AM in the church. Interment will follow in Western Salisbury Cemetery. Schantz Funeral Home P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements.
