Violet C. Hillegass, 94, of Macungie, died May 21, 2016 in ManorCare Allentown. She was the widow of John H. Hillegass. Born in Macungie, she was the daughter of the late Jonas and Carrie (Schuler) DeFrain. She was a sewing machine operator for the former Emmaus Shirt Factory and Jo-Mar Manufacturing, retiring in 1983. She was a member of Solomon's U.C.C., Macungie.

Survivors: Daughter, Cynthia L. wife of Mark S. Belinsky of Macungie; Grandchildren, Abby Roth and Leyna Belinsky; Great Grandchildren, Benjamin and Sydney; Brother, Clifford DeFrain; Sister, Betty Fritz and Geraldine Schmeltzle. She was predeceased by Great Grandson, Adam Roth and 3 Brothers and 7 Sisters.

Services: Funeral Services Wed., May 25, 2016 at 11:00 AM in Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus. Viewing 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Ziegels Union Cemetery.
