Valvertta N. Mitchell Valvertta N. Verty Mitchell, 92, of Allentown, died July 4, 2011 in the Devon House. She was the wife of Earl M. Bud Mitchell. They celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on June 28, 2011. Born in Indianapolis, IN, she was the daughter of the late Hubert L. and Sina A. (Jarvis) Williams. She worked as a bookkeeper for various small shops for many years, retiring in 1979. She volunteered at St. Josephs Hospital, Punta Gorda, FL for 10 years. Survivors: Husband; Son, Delmer L. Mitchell and wife Sue of New Port Ritchie, FL; Daughter, April M. wife of Greg Umlauf of Emmaus; Sister, Elizabeth Steusloff of Sterling Heights, MI; 5 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren.
