Valerie D. Miller Valerie D. Miller, 53, of Kutztown, died May 21, 2013 in Mifflin Center. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of Lucy J. (Oswald) Miller and the late J. Ernest Miller. She was a 1979 graduate of Kutztown High School. She worked in the South Dining Hall at Kutztown University for 7 years and previously for the former Rentschler's Bakery for 20 years. She was a longtime member of St. John's Lutheran Church Kutztown, where she was a Sunday School Teacher for many years and active on various other committees. She was a member of the Kutztown Lioness Club, honorary member of the Kutztown Lion's Club, and a former Kutztown Jaycees. Survivors: Mother, Lucy J. Miller of Kutztown and Sister Melissa A. Miller of Kutztown. Services: Funeral Services will be held Friday May 24, 2013 at 11:00AM in St. John's Lutheran Church 201 E. Main St., Kutztown with the Rev. Susan Fox officiating.
