Valerie E. "Sunshine" Balliet, 58, of Summit Hill, died peacefully May 17, 2021 in St. Luke's Hospice House.  Born in Brooklyn, she was the daughter of Lorraine Hartmann and the late Robert D. Bosco.  She worked as an aide at Whitehaven State Center for many years.

Valerie is survived by her mother, Lorraine of St. Robert, MO; sons, Chad R. Balliet and wife Heather of Emmaus and Michael D. Balliet and wife Heather of Palmerton; brothers, Rick Bosco and wife Diane of Beaufort, SC and Robert D. Bosco, II of Lansford; sister, Cynthia wife of Heriberto Rodriguez of Olympia, WA; grandsons, Melvin and Dean; beloved cat, Slater aka Monkey Paws.

Service will be private at the convenience of the family.    Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements.
