Obituary

Thomas G. Pappas, age 68, of Salisbury Township, passed away on December 24, 2024 in Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest in Allentown. Born in Holyoke, MA, he was a son of the late George and Anne (Wasilenko) Pappas. He was the loving husband of Cindy E. (Schmick) Pappas with whom he shared 42 and a half years of marriage.

He graduated from South Hadley High School in 1973. He earned his Associate's Degree from Springfield Technical Community College in 1975. He worked as an HVAC Service Technician for many years and continued to service the homes of family and friends into retirement, even up through December 2024. Thomas had many hobbies – he was a member of Wheels of Time, enjoyed classic cars often winning awards at car shows, rode motocross and snowmobiles, and was a lifelong hockey player, coaching both of his sons' teams. He loved music and enjoyed attending concerts with his sons and friends. He also had a passion for animals and rescued several cats over the years, some of which became beloved family members.

Thomas had a special talent for making friends anywhere he went, and could easily pass hours in conversation with anyone. He could be picked out of a crowd by his signature facial hair.

Thomas is survived by his wife Cindy E. Pappas; sons, Nick Pappas and his wife Fallon and Corey Pappas and his significant other Emilie; grandsons, Wyatt and Henry and brother, Jeff Pappas and his significant other Candy.
