Theresa L. Spiess Theresa L. Spiess, 77, of Emmaus, died November 25, 2009 in Lehigh Center. She was the widow of the late Francis W. Spiess, Jr. Born in Maizeville, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Dudash) Charney. She was a graduate of Bloomsburg University. She was a teacher in the Allentown School District and later a substitute teacher in the East Penn School District, retiring in 1985. She was a member of St. Anns Catholic Church and its Womans Club. Survivors: Sons, Michael J. Spiess and wife Sandy of Richlandtown and Timothy F. Spiess of Plano, TX; Daughters, Frances M. wife of Scott Yahn of Bartlett, TN and Carol A. wife of Craig King of Emmaus; Sister, Mary Spaar of West Chester; Grandchildren, Douglas, Daniel, Joseph, Genevieve, Taylor, Patrick, Hannah, and Ian. Services: Funeral Services Monday, Nov. 30, 2009 at 1:30 PM in the Schantz Funeral Home, Inc., 250 Main St., Emmaus followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Anns Catholic Church, 415 S. 6th St., Emmaus at 2:00 PM. Viewing 12:30 to 1:30 PM in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
