Terrence S. Banyas, 83, of Orefield, died Jan. 1, 2021 in St. Luke's Hospital Allentown.  He was the husband of Janell C.A. (Heckman) Banyas.  Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Stephen and Helen A. (Sabol) Banyas.  He was known as "Chickie" from Hunktown.  Terry worked for the former Pennypacker Foundry, Emmaus, was a caddy at Lehigh Country Club, and worked the former Boise Cascade for many years, retiring in 1994.  After retirement, he worked part-time for Weis in Orefield.  He was a member of the Macungie VFW golf league and Catholic War Vets, Emmaus.  Terry was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Orefield.

Terrence is survived by his wife of 62 years, Janell; daughter, Karen wife of Bruce Snyder of Macungie; daughter-in-law, Mary Ellen Banyas of M a cungie ; grandchildren, Jen n ifer Hiestand, Adam, Alexandria, and Maxwell Snyder; great grandchildren , Dylan and Taylor Hiestand, Remy Snyder, and Miles Poler .  He was predeceased by a son, Michael S. Banyas , brother, Stephen A. Banyas, and a sister, MaryAnn Keiser.
