Sylvia A. Wenzel was born in Brooklyn, NY on April 7, 1933, and was the daughter of the late Alfred and Emmy (Muekeley) Beyer. After many years of care by her loving husband through her illness, she passed away and went into eternity on December 10, 2024, in her home. Fred and Sylvia shared fifty-two wonderful years of marriage.

After earning her master's degree in education from Barnard College in New York City, she became a biology teacher. Sylvia was a member of the New Apostolic Church in Brooklyn, Astoria, and Allentown where she played the organ, sang in the choir, and lovingly supported her husband in his ministry. Her heart and home were always open, welcoming members of the congregation into the family. She was a talented artist, and enjoyed singing, but above all was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Being in the mountains, swimming in the lake and riding horses were some of her favorite past times.

Sylvia is survived by her husband, Frederick Wenzel; daughters, Lynn Shepard and her husband Robert, Jean Hemry and Tara Villani; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Memorial service will be held on January 4, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the Bucks County New Apostolic Church, 404 Pine Run Road, Doylestown, PA 18901. Visitation will be held prior from 9:30-10:30 AM.
