Suzanne C. Near, 74, formerly of Whitehall, died Feb. 22, 2021 in Cedarbrook.  She was the wife of the late Francis H. Near, Sr.  Born in Haddon Heights, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Anne C. (Wieman) Jennett.  Suzanne was a faithful member of the former First Church of the Nazarene, now Brookside Community Church, where she served as a Sunday School teacher, Sunday School superintendent, and a board member for more than 25 years.  She was also active in the Yokefellow Ministry, ministering at Lehigh County Prison.  She sang with the Lehigh Valley Sweet Adeline's for 40 years.

Suzanne is survived by children, Anne wife of Jarrid Newberry of Egypt, Cindie wife of Kevin Feldman of Macungie, Christopher Near and wife Catrina of McAdoo, and Frank Near, Jr. and wife Leah of Whitehall; grandchildren, Brittany wife of Jared Miller, Marsha Near, Dakota Near, Jacob Near, Nicholas Feldman, Marc Feldman Mathew Lightcap, Joseph Lightcap, and Nathaneal Lightcap; 6 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Sun., Feb. 28, 2021 at 3:00 PM in Brookside Community Church, 3800 Brookside Rd., Macungie.  Viewing Sat., Feb. 27, 2021 from 6:30 to 8:30 PM and Sun. from 2:00 to 3:00 PM in the church.  Interment Mon., March 1, 2021 at 10:30 AM in Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown.  Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements.  COVID-19 restrictions apply.
