Obituary

Dr. Stewart R. Rockwell, 94 of Emmaus, died November 29, 2016 in his residence. He was the husband of Mary (Nicol) Rockwell. Born in Stevens Point, PA, he was the son of the late Ray M. and Olivia (Ellnor) Rockwell. He was a graduate of Cornell University, earning a degree in Veterinary Science. He was a veterinarian, owning East Penn Veterinary Associates for 36 years, retiring in 1986. He honorably served his country in the Army Air Corp. during WWII. He was an active member of Emmaus Moravian Church, serving with the "peanut gang" and the Senior Citizens Group. He was a member of the Emmaus Rotary Club since 1953, serving as District Governor and was a member and past president of the PA Veterinary Medical Association.

Survivors: Wife; Sons, Leigh Rockwell and wife Lynn of Reading and Bruce Rockwell and wife Robin of Allentown; Daughters, Andrea Messenlehner of Macungie, Mary Louise Rockwell of Emmaus, Olivia wife of Samuel Charnegie of Macungie, and Susan wife of Darwin Breaux of Boiling Springs; 11 Grandchildren and 19 Great Grandchildren.

Services: Memorial Services Sat., Dec. 3, 2016 at 11:00 AM in Emmaus Moravian Church, Main Street and Keystone Ave., Emmaus. Visitation 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the church. Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements.
