Steven J. Shedlock, 55, of Emmaus, died August 6, 2022 in his home.  Born in Elizabeth, NJ, he was the son of Jeanne (Fortunato) Shedlock and the late John S. Shedlock.  He honorably served his country as an infantryman in the US Army for 6 years during the Gulf War.  He received the Army Commendation Medal as well as numerous other honorable awards.  After leaving the service, he was a medical equipment installer for Siemens in Germany and then with Remetronix in the United States.  He acknowledged his greatest achievement in life to be his child, Sofia.

Steven is survived by his mother, Jeanne; girlfriend, Ginger Muse; daughter, Sofia Shedlock; sisters, Sandra Cary and Suzanne wife of Steve Butterweck; nephews, Julian Butterweck and Jack Cary.  He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Julia Fortunato; sister, Jackie Shedlock, and brother-in-law, Jerry Cox.

Visitation will be held on Thurs., Aug. 11, 2022 from 6:30 to 7:30 PM in Schantz Funeral Home, 250 Main St., Emmaus, PA 18049 followed immediately by a Memorial service.  Private interment in Emmaus Moravian Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the funeral home for the benefit of Sofia's education.
