Obituary

Steve Wasilow, 95, died March 28, 2025 while residing at the Atrium in Allentown.  Born in Allentown, he was the son of Peter and Catherine (Haluscak) Wasilow.  Steve was an Air Force veteran.  After early success in sales, he established his own sales company, Futuristic Enterprises.  The successful business operated for over 25 years before his retirement in 1990.  He was known for a big smile, a wave, and a firm handshake.  It always seemed like he knew everyone, and everyone knew Steve.  In the late 1950's, he was an avid racer.  He raced his Austin Healey or Porsche on frozen lakes throughout northern PA and New York.  A lifelong boxing fan, he was a fixture at local boxing events.  He enjoyed making the drive up to Deer Lake to watch Ali train and spar.

Steve is survived by his daughters, Cheryl Weisberg and Debra and husband Thom Beaky; son, Steve and wife Kim; 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.  He was predeceased in death by his wife, Rose; daughter, Lisa; along with siblings, Charles, John, Michael, Sophie, Anne, Helen, Dorothy, Olga, and Margaret.

A sincere thank you to Mary Jo and Becky.  His time with you was special.

In his memory, contributions may be made to the Armed Forces charity of your choice.

Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements.
