Shirley A. Solt Shirley A. Solt, 74, of Ft. Myers, FL, formerly of Macungie died Oct. 11, 2010 in Lee Memorial Health Park, Ft. Myers, FL. She was the wife of Harold H. Solt. Born in Emmaus, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Esther (Heller) Herbster. She was a 1954 graduate of Emmaus High School and a 1957 graduate of Allentown Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as the Director of Nursing for Cedarbrook for 11 years and later as a State Surveyor for the PA Department of Health for 15 years. She was then the Administrator and part owner of Devon House until her retirement in 1994. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Macungie. She was a charter member and past president of the Emmaus Lioness Club and an honorary member of the Emmaus Lioness Lions Club. Survivors: Husband; Daughter, Karen Lundquist of Macungie; Sister, Pauline Kline of Emmaus; Grandsons, Erik and Bradley. She was predeceased by a son, Jeffrey S. Solt in 1987. Services: Memorial Service Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010 at 11:00 AM in Schantz Funeral Home, Inc., 250 Main St., Emmaus. Friends may call 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the funeral home.
