Sherwood R. Knecht Sherwood R. Knecht, 65, of Allentown, died November 27, 2007 in Lehigh Valley Hospital. He was the husband of Carolann H. (Sakasitz) Knecht. They celebrated their 31st wedding anniversary in September 2007. Born in Allentown, he was the son of Violet E. (Rex) Knecht of Allentown and the late Roy C. Knecht. He attended LCCC for Vo-Tech training. He worked in the maintenance department of the former Strohs Brewery for 291/2 years, retiring in 2001. He attended St. Anns Catholic Church, Emmaus. He belonged to Tumblebrook Golf Club and the Emmaus American Legion Post 9191. He honorably served his country in the Navy, playing in the Navy Band. He was a trumpet player and leader of the Live Music Band. Survivors: Wife; Mother; Sisters and Brothers- in-law; Aunts and Uncles; Nieces and Nephews. Services: Funeral Service Friday, November 30, 2007 at 10:30 AM in the Schantz Funeral Home, Inc., 250 Main St., Emmaus. Viewing 9:00 to 10:30 AM in the funeral home.
