Sharon A. Johnson Zimmermann, 69, of Alburtis, died Nov. 19, 2024 in her residence.  She was the wife of William M. Zimmermann.  Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Theresa (Hilpl) Kownacky.  Sharon earned her master's degree in education and was a special education teacher at Eyer Middle School and Children's Home of Reading, where she retired in the early 2000's.

Sharon will be remembered by her husband of 26 years, Bill; children of the late Joseph James Johnson III: son, Colin Joseph Johnson and wife Nicole Mahoney; daughters, Erika Johnson Conklin and husband Michael Conklin; and Kaitlin Sarah Johnson, wife of Neil Verchot; grandchildren, Aria, Charlotte, Anne, Mason, and Gavin; brothers, Robert Kownacky and Brian Kownacky; sister, Treasa Glinnwater.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements.
