Ruth E. Traub, 97, of Macungie, died peacefully on Dec. 9, 2023 in her home. She was the wife of the late Dick W. Traub.  Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Amelia (Weiand) Barrall.  Ruth, along with her husband, were self-employed grocers for 45 years until her retirement in 1990 as Vice President of Traub's Market, Inc.  She was a member of Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church, Allentown and a member of the Eastern Star.

Ruth will be lovingly remembered by her son, Kirby W. Traub and wife Constance; daughter, Robin K. Traub; 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; sisters, Carol Binder and Cherie Barrall.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.  Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements.
