Russell C. Grube, Sr. Russell C. Grube, Sr., 96, formerly of Macungie, died February 19, 2007 in Country Meadows. He was the widower of the late Kathryn H. (Wilvert) Grube and the late Mary Louise (Schlechter) Grube. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late John F. and Elizabeth (Transue) Grube. He was a 1928 graduate of Bethlehem High School. He was a real estate salesman for Franklin Balliet Real Estate and the Butz Company for 18 years retiring in September 1995. He began his work career as a draftsman for Bethlehem Steel and then a draftsman at Mack Trucks, Inc. In 1955 he was appointed service liaison engineer for Mack Trucks, Inc. Allentown, a position he held for 20 years, retiring in October of 1975. He was a former 30-year member of Masonic New Temple Lodge # 720 F&AM, Allentown. He was a former president of the Lehigh Valley Bridge Assoc. and a senior master of the American Contract Bridge League. He was a former treasurer of the Cotillion Dance Club and the Fairways at Brookside Sect. # 4. He won the tennis championship in 1938 for the Allentown Public Parks Doubles, in 1958 for the East Penn Doubles and in 1968 for the Allentown Senior Doubles. Survivors: Russell C. Marsh of Boones Mill, VA, and Susan L. wife of William Strawderman of Belle Mead, NJ; Brother, J. Kenneth Grube of Bethlehem; 10 Grandchildren; 12 Great Grandchildren.
