Rudolf Giesler, 79, of Emmaus, passed away Sept. 23, 2026 in Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest. He was the husband of Mary Ann (McLaughlin) Giesler. Born in Helmstedt, Germany, he was the son of the late Rudolf and Emma (Kubinski) Giesler. Rudy earned his bachelor’s degree from Drexel University and master’s degree from Lehigh University. He worked as an electrical engineer for PPL for 37 years, retiring in 2006. He was a member of The Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit. He was an avid collector of scrimshaws and member of the Antique Scrimshaw Collectors Association.

Rudolf is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mary Ann; sons, Rudolf Giesler and wife Mary and Charles Giesler and wife Andrea; granddaughter, Cameron; sisters, Elli Giesler and Henrietta Hoffman; cousins; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, David Giesler.

Funeral services will be held on Mon., Sept. 28, 2026 at 11:00 AM in The Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit, 3461 S. Cedar Crest Blvd., Emmaus. Viewing 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the church. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Boyertown. Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements.
