Ronald G.
Moyer
January 1, 1953 – March 24, 2024
Ronald G. Moyer, 71, of Orefield, died March 24, 2024 in Whitehall Manor. He was the husband of Debra E. (Nester) Moyer. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Lester B. and Arlene V. (Schmoyer) Moyer. Ron was a devoted neighborhood helper. In the summers he mowed everyone's lawns, and in the winters, he shoveled their sidewalks. Ron was proudly employed by Dorney Printing / Day-Timer's as a pressman and supervisor for 35 years, starting at age 18. Later he brought his love of coaching baseball to a job managing The Hitters Edge. During his life he coached for Orefield Baseball, North Parkland Baseball, and Parkland HS JV, where he was an assistant coach alongside his son Lee (head coach). He was a former member of Jordan U.C.C.
Ron is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Debra; son, Lee B. Moyer and wife Ashley of Allentown; daughter, Lisa M. Moyer and wife Alice Evans of Birmingham, AL; grandchildren Colin, Nora, and Moss; brother, Dave Moyer (preceded in death by his wife Sandy), of Florida; sister, Doris and her husband Tom Hunsicker of Schnecksville; and sister, Ann Koren (preceded in death by husband Dan Koren), of Neffs.
