Ronald E. DiStefano, 79, of Easton, passed away Aug. 20, 2026 in St. Luke’s Hospital – Anderson Campus. He was the husband of the late Patricia A. (Fink) DiStefano and the late Dorene M. (Kline) DiStefano. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Albert B. and Lillian C. (Meyers) DiStefano. Ron earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Penn State University and earned his master’s degree from SUNY Buffalo. He was a chemistry professor at Northampton Community College for many years. Ron was a member of Ebenezer Bible Fellowship Church, Bethlehem. He was a member of the American Chemical Society, Penn State Alumni Association, and was a O scale model train enthusiast. He was a proud Penn State Alumnus, avid woodworker and world traveler.

Ron is survived by his stepchildren, Brian Schantz and wife Jane, Bill Renninger and wife Jennifer, Gretchen Vakiener and husband Craig, and Vicki Schantz; grandchildren, Branwen, Aislinn, Scott, and Logan. He was predeceased by a brother, Albert DiStefano.

A funeral service will be held on Sat., Aug. 29, 2026 at 11:00 AM in Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus. Viewing 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Solomon’s Union Cemetery, Macungie.
