Obituary

Rodney Gerhart Rodney Rocky Gerhart, 78, of Salisbury Township, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2007 in Lehigh Valley Inpatient Hospice Unit, Allentown. He was the husband of Elinor M. (Kehs) Gerhart. They celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary in September 2006. Born in Red Hill, he was the son of late Grover and Elsie (Haas) Gerhart. He was a general manager for Hawk Flour Mill where he worked for 52 years. He was a member of Jerusalem Western Salisbury United Church of Christ where he served on the consistory and council for many years. He was a member of the Emmaus Lions Club. He honorably served his country in the army during the Korean Conflict. Survivors: Wife; Daughters, Gail K. wife of David Ream of Albrightsville, Patti A. wife of Scott Labenberg of South Whitehall; Brothers, Bennett and his wife Martha of Emmaus, Richard and his wife Edna June of Emmaus, Bruce and his wife Bonnie of Lancaster; Sisters, Ferne Queen of New Port Richey, FL, Jean Wilson of Macungie, Ethelmae Brophy of Allentown, 7 Grandchildren; 4 Great Grandchildren; Nieces and Nephews. He was predeceased by brothers; Donald and Dale. Services: Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at 10:30 am in Jerusalem Western Salisbury Union Church, 3441 Devonshire Road, Allentown. Friends may call Tuesday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 pm in the Schantz Funeral Home, 250 Main Street, Emmaus with a Lions Club service at 8 pm and 9:30 to 10:30 am Wednesday in the church.
