Rodney A. Fenstermaker, 81, of Allentown passed away on January 15, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on April 24, 1943, in Emmaus, PA, to the late Adam and Elaine (Burian) Fenstermaker. He was the eldest of seven children. Rodney graduated from Emmaus High School. He was the loving husband to the late Susan (Weaver) Fenstermaker to whom he shared 43 years of marriage.
Rodney was one of the first employees to work at the Schaefer Brewing Company in Fogelsville when the plant opened in 1972 and continued to work there for 30 years. He was a member of the Teamsters Local 12.
Rodney was a proud member of the NRA. For many years, he enjoyed going to gun shows with his best friend Larry.
Rodney enjoyed reading books about the Civil War and visited Gettysburg on numerous occasions.
Rodney was a lifelong Philadelphia Phillies fan. His favorite player was Mike Schmidt. He often talked about when he attended his first Phillies game at the Connie Mack Stadium as a child. His favorite time of the year was in September and October when he could watch both the Phillies and Eagles games.
Most of all, he cherished spending time with his family. Rodney will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Surviving are his daughters Bonnie Mainiero, husband Anthony and Kimberly Belles, husband Glen.
Grandchildren Andrea Mainiero, husband Charles Giesler, Samantha Mainiero, Glen Belles, Chadwick Belles, wife Brittnay, and Jacob Belles.
Great-grandchildren Arianna Belles, Victoria Belles, and Cameron Giesler.
Sisters Donna Shively, Jane Schaffer, and Nancy Lakits; brothers Ted Fenstermaker and Scott Fenstermaker; also, many nieces and nephews.
Rodney was preceded by his wife Susan and brother Dennis Fenstermaker.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at 11:00 AM in Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main Street, Emmaus, PA 18049. Viewing will be held prior from 10:00-11:00 AM. Interment will take place in Western Salisbury Cemetery in Allentown.
