Robert J. “Bob” Zamboldi, 85, of Emmaus, PA, passed away on February 15, 2026. A devoted husband, loving father, and proud grandfather, Bob leaves behind a legacy that reaches far beyond the places he lived, touching the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Born in Kittanning, PA, to Rex and Florence Zamboldi, Bob graduated from the United States Air Force Academy and later earned his MBA from Ohio State University.
Bob enjoyed a distinguished 33-year career as an executive at Air Products and Chemicals before retiring in February 2000. His career took him and his family to Allentown, Pittsburgh, Chicago, Houston, and London. Bob also dedicated his time serving on the boards of Moravian College and the Allentown YMCA.
For more than six decades, Bob shared a remarkable marriage with his beloved wife, Marilyn. Their life together was filled with adventure, laughter, steadfast devotion, and a love that only deepened with time. Together, they built a family that became their greatest joy and proudest accomplishment. Emmaus served as the Zamboldi home, but Bob and Marilyn also built a life across 35 winters in Naples, Florida, enjoying wonderful friends and warm weather.
An avid golfer, Bob celebrated two hole-in-ones and achieved the rare accomplishment of shooting his age on numerous occasions. Beyond the course, he proudly served as Club President of both Lehigh Country Club in Allentown and Kensington Country Club in Naples, FL.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Marilyn; his three children, Melissa (Gordon) Young, Kathy (Steve) Heilenman, and Rob (Amy) Zamboldi; his six cherished grandchildren: Casey, Jake, Ben, Abby, Mason, and Kristen and by his two siblings, Richard Zamboldi of Erie, PA and Barbara O’Neil of Chevy Chase, MD.
To those who knew him best, he was a mentor, a steady leader, and an enduring inspiration.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 24th at 11:00 AM at St. Thomas More Church, Allentown, PA. Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements.
