Robert J.C. Wilson, 71, of Macungie, died Sept. 12, 2022 in his home.  Born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, he was the son of the late John C. and Margaret I. (Bernard) Wilson.  Bob was very fortunate to have five siblings: Heather, Scott, Brian, Bruce, and Colin.  Bob was also very close to his cousins, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and many friends. He will be missed by many. Bob grew up in Irondequoit, NY, where he met Mary Ellen.  They married in May of 1974 and had two children: Matthew Craig and Colleen Elizabeth.  Bob and Mary Ellen raised their family in Penfield, NY and later moved to Sodus Point, NY where they spent many happy years.  Bob and Mary Ellen moved to the Allentown area in 2016 to be closer to Colleen, after the heartbreaking death of their dear son, Matthew.

Bob's profession was a Board-Certified Orthotist.  He was so proud of his certification from Northwestern University in Chicago.  He was able to help so many people custom fitting orthotic devices.  Bob took his time with every patient in order for them to feel comfortable and well taken care of.  He truly loved his career.

Bob had a special love for boating and thru the years, he enjoyed owing sailboats and power boats.  He spent many happy hours on Sodus Bay, Irondequoit Bay, and Lake Ontario.

Colleen and Brett Donovan married and they have two children, Elizabeth Rose and Christopher Matthew.  Our dear son Matthew married Renee and she has daughters, Juliane and Hope, who Matthew loved dearly.  Bob enjoyed his grandchildren – watching Elizabeth grow up and talking with her on a variety of subjects.  Christopher is a joy and Bob lit up when they were together.

Memorial services will be held on Tue., Sept. 20, 2022 at 11:00 AM in Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus.  Visitation 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the funeral home.
