Robert D. Owen, 90, of Blandon, PA died of natural causes on December 15, 2022. Robert was born in Williamsport, PA to the late Arthur R. and Prudence A. (Diefenbacher) Owen. Robert is survived by Catharine, his wife of 64 years.

Robert had been employed in a supervisory capacity in the financial planning department of Mack Trucks, Allentown, retiring in 1986. Previously, he worked in the comptroller department of Air Products in Trexlertown.

He was a 1950 graduate of Williamsport High School and a 1958 graduate of the Wharton School of The University of Pennsylvania.

Robert was the past president of the Berks/Lehigh Valley chapter of the Financial Planning Executives and a member of the Lehigh Valley chapter of the Management Accounting Association. He also volunteered with the Miller-Keystone Blood Center.

A member of Holy Guardian Angels Catholic Church, Reading, PA, Robert is survived by three daughters, Elizabeth Joy and Susan Hoffman of Blandon, PA and Jennifer Meyers of Clemmons, NC. In addition, he is survived by six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was pre deceased by a son, Kenneth Owen in October 1998.

Services will be arranged by Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the Miller-Keystone Blood Center.
