Robert C. Mumbauer, 91, of Macungie, died peacefully May 24, 2025 in in his residence.  He was the husband of the late MaryAnn E. (Benner) Mumbauer.  Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Theodore F. and Evelyn R. (Fatzinger) Mumbauer.  Bob honorably served his country in the Navy, serving on the USS Hunt during Korea and was a Navy Retiree of 28 years.  He worked as manager of transportation for Durkee Famous Foods, Bethlehem for 35 years, retiring in 1989.  He was a member of New Covenant Christian Community Church, Macungie.  Bob was a member and past president of the Emmaus Lions Club, member of the Lehigh Valley Traffic Club, Vera Cruz Senior Citizens, American Legion Post 191, Emmaus, Catholic War Veterans, and the Navel Enlisted Reserve Association.  Bob was an avid golfer and member of the Emmaus Senior Golf League.  He was a true-blue Philadelphia Phillies fan.

Robert is survived by his daughter, Georgia A. Thompson wife of Rick Quay; grandchildren, Lindsey wife of Phil Rockel, Jennifer wife of Chad Wood, and Rick and Tina Thompson; great grandchildren, Arianna, Skyler, and Mason.

A memorial and Lions Club service will be held on Sat., May 31, 2025 at 11:00 AM in Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus.  Visitation 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the funeral home.  Interment with military honors will follow in Macungie Baptist Cemetery.
