Robert A. Krause Robert A. Krause, 87, of Kunkletown, died Sept. 12, 2011 in the Phoebe Home. Born in Mahoning Twp., he was the son of the late Dora (Scheirer) and Fred Krause, Sr. He worked as a brakeman for the Lehigh Valley Railroad for over 35 years, retiring in 1988. He was a member of Calvary Bible Fellowship Church, Walnutport. He honorably served his country in the Army during WWII. He was an avid skier, skiing until he was 82 at Blue Mountain. Survivors: Sons, Robert A. Krause, Jr. and wife Lisa of Topton and Michael S. Krause of Emmaus; Daughter, Elsie wife of Paul Schwarz of Washington Twp.; Stepson, Ray Weaver and wife Lydia of Emmaus; Brother, Fred Krause, Jr.; Sisters, Elaine Peterson of Gettysburg and Marian Roberts of Lehighton; Grandchildren, Jamie wife of Sutton Grater, Jodie Krause, Jeremy Krause and wife Katie, and Jonathan Krause; Great Granddaughter, Callie Madison Grater. He was predeceased by sisters, Evelyn, Betty, and Shirley. Services: Funeral Service Saturday, Sept. 17, 2011 at 10:30 AM in the Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus. Viewing 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the funeral home. Interment with military honors will follow in Northwood Cemetery.
