Rita M. Strouse, 88, of Emmaus, died February 5, 2023 in Bethlehem Manor.  She was the wife of the late Richard N. Strouse.  Born in Emmaus, she was the daughter of the late Felix J. and Pauline (Matura) Pierog. Rita worked as an assembler for Rodale Manufacturing, sewing machine operator for R & F Dress Factory, and as a secretary / purchasing agent for E.F.M, retiring in 1999.  She was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church.  She was a former girl scout leader for Troop 160 and a member of the Emmaus Historical Society.

Rita is survived by her daughter, Jacqueline wife of Bruce Gustafson of Allentown; grandchildren, Kimlee, Kevin, Katie, Keith, Kaylyn, Kordell, and Konnor; great grandchildren, Lyla, Ari, Freya, and Lennon; brother, Phillip Pierog of Nazareth.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.  Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements.
