Richard B. Wieand, 89, of Emmaus, died Oct. 8, 2018 in Lehigh Valley Hospital.  He was the husband of Judith M. (Underwood) Wieand.  Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Albert B. and Katherine (Smith) Wieand.  Dick was a 1946 graduate of Emmaus High School, serving as class president and a 1950 graduate of Gettysburg College.  He honorably served his country in the Army during the Korean Conflict.  He was a partner with his brother Bob at Wieand and Company, Inc. for 40 years, retiring in 1996.  He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and a longtime member of the Emmaus Lions Club, receiving the Melvin Jones Fellow award.

Dick is survived by his wife of 67 years, Judith; Daughters, Barbara wife of Randolph Schueck and Janice wife of Richard Rickert; Son-in-Law, Dale Peters; Siblings, Robert Wieand, Nancy Reimert, and Albert Wieand; Grandchildren, Jennifer wife of Christopher Plominski, Christopher, Randy, Kyle, and Stephanie; Great Grandson, Noah.  He was predeceased by a Daughter, Susan A. Peters.

Funeral Services will be held on Sat., Oct. 13, 2018 at 11:00 AM in Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus .  Viewing Friday 7:00 to 8:30 PM and Sat. 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the funeral home.  Lions Club Service Friday at 8:30 PM.  Interment with military honors will follow in Northwood Cemetery.
