Richard A. Whitner, 83, of Allentown, died January 19, 2015 in Lehigh Valley Hospital. He was the husband of Bernadine L. (Leshko) Leskowsky. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Claude and Marguerite (Stern) Whitner. He worked as a unit manager for General Electric for 40 years, retiring in 1985. He honorably served his country in the Army during the Korean conflict. Survivors: Wife; Son, Alan Whitner of Allentown; Daughter, Wendy wife of Jim Barbour of Northeast; Stepson, David Leskowsky and wife Sharon of Allentown; Stepdaughter, Deborah Leskowsky of Summerville, SC; : Sister-in-Law, Katherine Whitner of Lebanon; Granddaughter, Tara Valli; Step-Grandchildren, Lauren, Matthew, Julia, and April. Services: Funeral Service Friday, January 23, 2015 at 11:00 AM in Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main Street, Emmaus. Viewing 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
