Richard N. Strouse Richard N. Strouse, 76, of Emmaus, died on July 27, 2010 in Lehigh Valley Hospital. He was the husband of Rita M. (Pierog) Strouse. Born in Emmaus, he was the son of the late Horace B. and Alma C. (Erney) Strouse. He worked for General Machine for 40 years, retiring in 1996. Prior to that he worked for Rodale Manufacturing and Mack Trucks, Inc. He was a member of the Emmaus Historical Society, Macungie Historical Society, Life Member of the Eastern Paralyzed Veterans of America, and the American Legion Post 945. He honorably served his country in the Army during the Korean Conflict. Survivors: Wife; Daughter, Jacqueline wife of Bruce Gustafson of Allentown; Brother, Robert H. Strouse of Emmaus and James D Strouse of Leesburg, FL; Sister, Jean wife of Anthony Lokez of Lawrenceville; Grandchildren, Kimlee, Kevin, Katie, Keith, Kaylyn, Kordell, and Konnor. Services: Funeral Services Friday, July 30, 2010 at 11:00 AM in the Schantz Funeral Home, Inc., 250 Main St., Emmaus. Viewing 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the funeral home. Interment with military honors will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Emmaus.
