Richard M. Maskornick, 84, of Allentown, died Jan. 15, 2023 in Lehigh Valley Hospice.  He was the husband of Margaret M. "Dolly" (Shamenek) Maskornick.  Born in Hazleton, he was the son of the late Michael and Anna (Hudock) Maskornick.  Richard honorably served his country in the Army.  He worked as a retail clerk for ACME Markets for 42 years, retiring in 1997.  He was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church, Emmaus and volunteered for Meal son Wheels for many years.

Richard is survived by his son, Matthew Maskornick of Allentown; daughters, Christine wife of Joseph Maroski of Moore Twp. and Mary Ann E. Maskornick of Allentown; grandchildren, Alyssa wife of Karim Fadel and Airman Alexandria Prentice; 1 great granddaughter; sister, Emily Cameline of Nazareth; step-daughter, Tami Hubickey of Emmaus.  He was predeceased by a step-son, Daryl Caudill and 7 siblings.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Fri., Jan. 20, 2023 at 11:00 AM in St. Ann's Catholic Church, 415 S. 6 ^th St., Emmaus.  Viewing 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the church.  Interment with military honors will follow in Cedar Hill Memorial Park.  Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
