Richard L. C. Knauss Richard L.C. Knauss, 87, formerly of Emmaus, died April 21, 2010 in The Tremont Health & Rehab Center, Schuylkill County. Born in Macungie, he was the son of the late Clarence and Elverda (Acker) Knauss. He worked in the Plumbing and Heating Wholesale Business in the Lehigh Valley for many years. He was a member of St. Peters Union Church, Macungie. Dick was a past president of the Emmaus Lions Club where he served with 40 years of perfect attendance. He chaired and co-chaired the Emmaus Ambulance Drive and also served as Deputy Chief for the former Emmaus Fire Co.# 3. He honorably served his country in the Navy during WWII. Survivors: Former Wife, Anna Mae (Wentz) Knauss of Schnecksville; Son, Jeffrey R. Knauss and wife Mary of Duncannon; Daughter, Joan R. wife of Fred Reese of Cherryville; Sisters, Catherine Rohrbach of Bethlehem and Dorothy wife of Bill Hurter of Naples, FL; Grandchildren, Lindsay, Courtney, Bradley, Jessica and Parker. Services: Funeral Services Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at 11:00 AM in St. Peters Union Church, 7863 St. Peter's Road, Macungie. Viewing 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the church.
