Richard H. Gerhart, 81, of Emmaus, died July 4, 2014 in Lehigh Valley Hospital. He was the husband of Edna J. (Funk) Gerhart. Born in Red Hill, he was the son of the late Grover and Elsie (Haas) Gerhart. He worked as a banker, retiring in 1995. He was a member of St. Matthew's E.C. Church. He also served as chairman of the Emmaus General Authority. Survivors: Wife; Son, Mark D. Gerhart of Mt. Joy; Daughter, Kimber L. wife of Brian Janos of Doylestown; Brother, Bruce Gerhart and wife Bonnie; Sisters, Ferne Queen, Jean Wilson, and Ethelmae Brophy; 5 Grandchildren. He was predeceased by brothers, Bennett, Rodney, Donald, and Dale. Services: Memorial Services Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at 11:00 AM in Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus.
