Obituary

Richard A. Dillman, 81, formerly of Salisbury Twp., passed away peacefully Oct. 9, 2025 in Phoebe Home Allentown.   He was the husband of the late Patricia A. (Brong) Dillman.  Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Harold and Julia (Donato) Dillman.  Richard honorably served his country in the Air Force during the Vietnam era.  He worked as a systems programmer in the IT Department of Mack Trucks for over 25 years, retiring in 2005.  He was an active member of St. John's U.C.C., Emmaus, where he was a member and past president of consistory and member of the safety committee.  He served on the class reunion committee of Allen High School.  He and his wife dedicated 30 years to Jenn's House that served as a home away from home for families that have a loved one hospitalized.

Richard is survived by his son, Brian A. Dillman and wife Angela; grandchildren, Brian Jr. and wife Amber, Brad, Joshua and wife Katelynn, Mikey, and Natalie; great granddaughter, Ivy; sister, Joy Garinger.  He was predeceased by a daughter, Jennifer Joy Dillman.

Funeral services will be held on Tues., Oct. 14, 2025 at 11:00 AM in St. John's U.C.C., 139 N. 4th St., Emmaus.  Viewing 9:30 to 11:00 AM in the church.  Interment with military honors will follow in Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown.  Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. John's U.C.C., 139 N. 4th St., Emmaus, PA 18049.
