Obituary

Richard C. Brown, 78, of Emmaus, died peacefully surrounded by his entire family on November 12, 2023 in Lehigh Valley Hospital.  He was the husband of Vincenzia (Frisoli) Brown.  Born in Fountain Hill, he was the son of the late Robert T. and Eleanor V. (Apple) Brown.  Dick worked in management for Bethlehem Steel for 35 years and then at the age of 60 he graduated as a registered nurse from Saint Luke's School of Nursing.  He worked as an RN for Lehigh Valley Health Network for 18 years and was loved by all who knew him. He was a member of St. John's U.C.C., Emmaus, on the 1803 House board, enjoyed singing in choir, playing with his dogs and collecting hats. But above all, his greatest joy was spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Dick will be lovingly remembered by his wife 56 years, Cenzia; son Gregory Brown and wife Katherine of Macungie; daughter Laura wife of Louis Evangelista of Collingswood, NJ; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Brown of Gilbert, AZ; grandchildren, Jonathan, Elizabeth, Mason, Holden, Lacey, Dylan, Emmah, and Rocco. He was predeceased by a son, Mark Richard Brown and brother, Robert Brown.

A memorial visitation will be held on Wed., Dec.27th, 2023 from 3:00 to 5:00 PM in Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus. A Celebration of Life will follow at Yergey Brewing, Emmaus.
