Rhoda O. Smith, 97, formerly of Emmaus, died May 12, 2015 in Fellowship Manor. She was the widow of Ernest C Smith. Born in Houtzdale, she was the daughter of the late Howard J. and Esther Mary (Calbert) Crago. Prior to marriage, she worked as a secretary in the PA State Department under Governor James Duff. She was a member of St. Matthew's EC Church, Emmaus since 1956, where she was a Sunday School teacher, member of the choir, and taught Bible Study. She was a member of Brookside Country Club, Christian Woman's Club, Volunteered at Good Shepherd, and was a Friend of the Emmaus Public Library. Survivors: Daughters, Susan C. Ungerer of Emmaus, Barbara Smith of Allentown, and Sally wife of Douglas Bowen of Whitehall; Granddaughter, Janelle C. Zelko; Nieces and Nephews. Services: Funeral Service Friday, May 15, 2015 at 1:00 PM in the Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus. Visitation 12 Noon to 1:00 PM in the funeral home.
