Obituary

Raymond R.Walters Raymond R. Walters, 78, of Forksville, formerly of Breinigsville and Emmaus, passed away December 20th, surrounded by his sons in Divine Providence Hospital, Williamsport. He was the loving husband of the late Barbara J. (Polster) Walters. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Harvey and Anna D. (Wink) Walters. Ray retired in 1986 from AT&T, the former Western Electric. He was a member of Forksville United Methodist Church. He honorably served his country in the Navy and was a life member of Emmaus VFW. He was a volunteer fire police for Eldredsville. Survivors: He will be sadly missed by his sons, William H. Walters of Macungie, Joel R. Walters and wife Lynn of Coopersburg, brother, Richard C. Walters of Allentown, grandson, Chris Vaughn of Orefield and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Alfred and Clifford and sister Betsy Ann Bellesfield-Moore. Services: Funeral Services Saturday, Dec. 26, 2009 at 10:00 AM in the Schantz Funeral Home, Inc., 250 Main St., Emmaus with Pastor Renninger presiding. Viewing 9:00 to 10:00 AM in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Northwood Cemetery.
