Raymond P. Moatz Raymond P. Raymie Moatz, 77, formerly of Emmaus, died Sept. 21, 2010 in Lehigh Center. He was the widower of Gladys M. (Hein) Moatz. Born in Molltown, he was the son of the late Paul N. and Elda (Weidner) Moatz. He was an auto mechanic for Mack Trucks for 28 years retiring in 1991. He was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church, Emmaus. He was a life member of the Emmaus Fire Co. and its Firemans Relief, life member of the Macungie Fire Co., served 15 years on the Emmaus Ambulance Corps, and was a member of 4 County Fireman. Survivors: Son, Dennis R. Moatz and wife Darlene of Allentown; Daughters, Ethel M. Moatz of Allentown and Lori A. wife of Jeffrey Bednarczyk of Whitehall; Brothers, Samuel Moatz, Robert Moatz, William Moatz of Fleetwood, and Glance Moatz of Topton; Sisters, Mary Jane Moatz, Helen wife of Luther Christman, and Mamie wife of Earl Phillips of Fleetwood; 3 Grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Herbert Moatz. Services: Funeral Service Friday, Sept. 24, 2010 at 10:30 AM in the Schantz Funeral home, Inc., 250 Main Street, Emmaus.
