Obituary

Raymond Samuel Lapp, 77, of Allentown, died October 17, 2016 in Lehigh Center. He was the husband of Mildred E. "Millie" (Debus) Lapp, with whom he celebrated 58 years of marriage. Born in Lanark, he was the son of the late Howard S. and Mildred (Wieder) Lapp. He worked for Mack Trucks for 38 years, retiring in 1999. He was a Lehigh County Constable. He was a member and past master of Saucon Lodge #469 F&AM, member of Rajah Shrine and Forks of the Delaware, was active with Limeport Ambulance and taught first aid, and sang with Grace Four, a gospel group. He honorably served his country in the Air Force National Guard.

Survivors: Wife; Daughter, Brenda L. wife of Michael Heck of Allentown; Sister, Gladys wife of Richard Hontz of Emmaus; Grandson, Brian Budraitis and wife Laura; Great Grandsons, Dylan and Benjamin; Brother-in-Law, Kenneth Debus and wife Alice; Sister-in-Laws, Mae Schoup, Lorraine wife of Douglas Kahler, and Marjorie wife of Richard Trinkle. He was predeceased by Brother-in-Law, Robert Debus and Sister-in-Laws, Marian Hottle and Arlene Sweinhart.

Services: Memorial Service with Military Honors Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2016 at 11:00 AM in Chestnut Hill U.C.C., 6870 Chestnut Hill Road, Coopersburg, PA 18036. Visitation 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the church. Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements.
